Feedback on Thirsty Liquor Mercari Way. (Hospitality and Gastronomy) located in Auckland (Auckland)
Overview
So, picture this: You’re cruising down Mercari Way in Albany, Auckland, and you spot Thirsty Liquor. At first glance, it kinda looks like a liquor store that’s been through the wringer. I mean, I’ve heard mixed things about this joint. Some folks say it’s looking a bit empty and unkempt — kind of like a party you accidentally stumble upon that’s already dying down.
But hey, they’re open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. If you’re in a pinch, that’s not too shabby. They’ve got delivery and in-store shopping, which is nice if you’re more of a “let’s grab and go” type. Just don’t expect a smorgasbord of choices on the shelves, or you could end up hunting for that perfect bottle elsewhere. Word on the street is that inventory can be hit or miss.
Now, when I strolled in, the staff seemed friendly enough, which is a huge plus. I mean, it can be overwhelming not knowing much about booze. If you’re like me, then that kind of help is priceless. They’ve supposedly got a decent range of drinks — from international spirits to local wines. You might even come out of there more educated about your choices than when you went in.
Accessibility? They’ve got you covered there with wheelchair-accessible entrances and parking, which is solid.
But with a lukewarm 3.1 out of 5 score and 14 reviews, it seems there’s room for improvement. If only they could tidy up a bit and keep things stocked, right?
