So, I recently popped into Nexus Restaurant & Sports Bar, right on Bridge Street in Tokoroa. This place is pretty spacious, giving off a relaxed vibe. Seriously, you won’t feel cramped here! With a 4.4 out of 5 rating and 142 reviews, it seems like a favorite among locals.
The menu, oh boy, could use some work—had a few items unavailable when I visited. But hey, the beef nachos were a hit! Juicy, flavorful, and not your standard boring nachos. I also tried the fish tacos, and, well, they could’ve packed more punch.
What stood out, though? The incredibly friendly staff. They made waiting for my mum much less boring. I mean, they even helped us out past closing time! Plus, with decent prices, it’s hard to complain.
If you’re in the mood for brunch or a casual dinner, Nexus might just hit the spot. And, yes, they’ve got a bar on-site for those interested in unwinding with a drink. Can’t wait to go back and see if they’ve improved some of those dishes!
